Johanna Wetjen and Casiro daughter successful in national eventing competition

Johanna Wetjen-Sanders takes 12th place out of 60 starters in the national eventing competition at CCI2* level. The Weser-Ems team finishes just off the podium in 4th place.

The special thing about her is that she is the breeder, owner and rider of Wild West Clary. The Oldenburg mare descends from Casiro out of Grand Rose by Rosario.

This is how Johanna experienced the tournament:
"There was a pleasant atmosphere at the show. We had good test conditions. As northern Germans from the flat country, we had respect for the mountainous terrain beforehand.
We adapted our training to the hilly terrain and were therefore very well prepared.
Being allowed to start as a team is always something special. You root for your team mates and keep your fingers crossed. Unfortunately, we just missed the bronze medal, but next year we want to be back again and at best be on the podium. We are also pleased that we had two boys with us and that Wiebke and I have promising offspring with our horses that are only 7 years old."

"The national competition is one of the oldest equestrian events in Germany. Its history can be traced back to 1924. At that time, however, the 20 best riding clubs in Germany competed, whereas today there are teams from all the state horse sport associations."
