MAI BAUM BY LOREDANO WINS 5* EVENTING IN KENTUCKY

2 mai 2023 10.55

Congratulations to Tamie Smith who won the CCI5* event in Kentucky with Mai Baum by Loredano. The gelding comes from the breeding of Günter Gerling, who chose our former stallion Loredano by Lordanos 18 years ago for his Ramira by Leoni (by Levantos). Congratulations!

St. George writes:

"After 15 years, U.S. rider Tamie Smith has succeeded in ensuring that victory in the 2023 CCI5*-L Lexington was won by a rider from the host nation. Behind the World Team Vice Champion, Britain's Tom McEwen finished second. Sandra Auffarth turned Viamant du Matz's 5* debut, "Mat," into a fourth place dressage score!

At the CCI5*-L in Lexington, the DSP gelding Mai Baum proved his stand-up qualities. The 17-year-old Loredano son won the CCI5*-L at the Kentucky Horse Park with his dressage score of 24.2 minus points. 40 pairs competed in the classic, 26 were classified. Six pairs managed to complete the cross-country course in the hilly terrain of the Kentucky Horse Park without any obstacle faults in time. In addition to Tamie Smith, they included Sandra Auffarth with Viamant du Matz."
